Our first Tech Tuesday is running a little late today! –Tech Issues!!!
So, I wanted to start off with a piece or several pieces of equipment I am currently using for High Ed Jobs. The Headphones we are using are by Senal. More specifically, the Senal SMH-1000 Professional Field and Studio Monitor Headphones. I’ve been using them since the start of the Higher Ed Jobs podcast and really like them. They are comfortable to wear for long sessions and I can hear extremely well. The quality is excellent. Pricing seems decent enough and you can find deals on Amazon where you can even outfit your entire studio. There are package deals where you can purchase 3 sets but I don’t know if I can fully recommend them yet.
That being said, I would like to try some new headphones as well. I am noticing that after editing the podcast, I have to go back in and rebalance a bit when listening over speakers or other headphones. Also, perhaps they work a bit too well as I also have to raise the volume level up a bit when not using them.
For the first Tech Tuesday, I can’t wholly recommend a product yet but thought you might like the see and hear what I thought about a product I am currently using. As I mentioned, I am looking for other headsets to try. If you have any recommendations, please comment!
